My therapeutic approach involves helping clients change their emotional response to the pain or symptoms, reduce fear and preoccupation about the symptoms, attend to emotions in their body with a sense of safety, regulate their nervous system, and process trauma.
In my early 20s, I began to experience anxiety, depression, chronic back pain, hip pain, leg pain, shoulder pain, arm pain, and headaches. At the time I was told I had fibromyalgia and several other conditions, and I felt deeply confused because doctors and healthcare providers could not agree upon what was physically wrong with me. After several years of suffering in daily pain and anxiety, and having little success with various treatments, I realized through my research that nothing was structurally wrong with my body and I had neuroplastic pain. Utilizing the same techniques I use with my clients, I recovered from having symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety, and depression.

I am a therapist who utilizes a mind-body approach to help clients eliminate or reduce their chronic pain or other mental health concerns. Years ago, I witnessed my partner suffer in chronic pain and then miraculously make a full recovery after learning about tension myoneural syndrome/neuroplastic pain. I utilize with my clients the same techniques that helped my partner and so many others recover from chronic pain.
I also have years of experience working in the mental health field and have worked with men and women of all ages. I believe in working with peoples’ strengths and that we all have the ability to change regardless of our circumstances.

My therapeutic approach helps clients heal nervous system dysregulation and chronic pain/symptoms by increasing a sense of safety in the mind, body, and environment. I am a male-identifying person, hold Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Social Work, and have trained extensively in a number of diverse counselling approaches. Growing up, my parents experienced significant chronic pain and fatigue due to traumatic injuries and stress, which has informed my compassion and understanding when providing care. I practice from the perspective that the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem! From this stance, I am very collaborative and interested in each client’s unique developmental experiences, strengths, and beliefs. Working together, we can address pain/symptoms, trauma, social concerns, and mental health holistically, developing new ideas, somatic practices, and daily actions to make life better.

I am a therapist with experience and passion in working with chronic pain and chronic symptoms, anxiety, depression and trauma. My hope is to help clients decrease or eliminate chronic symptoms, overcome challenges with their mental health, and reconnect people to their bodies and emotions to find safety.
My previous education includes completing a degree in Communication and Culture, and an Education Degree and my Masters in Social Work. I have a varied background of experience, working as a paramedic for 10 years, followed by an educator with STARS Air Ambulance for 7 years and now have worked as a Mental Health Therapist for 7 years. Since a young age, I have dealt with chronic conditions, which included shoulder, neck and back pain. Most of these symptoms were from injuries that never seemed to heal. A number of years back, these symptoms spiralled and my long-standing chronic pain issues increased dramatically, I developed digestive issues and repetitive strain injuries. When I was at my worst, these various physical challenges included 30 different symptoms. I was unable to work and even moving was extremely difficult. As a therapist myself, I came across PRT and EAET and overcame these issues to find the light on the other side. This work has now become my passion including addressing depression, anxiety and trauma which are often connected to this work. This passion has led me to provide coaching, education and therapy for many of my clients who have found relief from a life taken over by whether that pain be physical or psychological.

I am passionate about working with clients experiencing chronic pain and symptoms, and all the layers and emotions that encompass it. In our work together we will explore your pain journey and how it is impacting your present life. We will work towards healing by addressing the root causes of your lived experiences that are keeping your brain and nervous system on high alert and in a sense of danger. I provide a compassionate and supportive space for you to start to establish a sense of safety to begin to explore and discover new possibilities and empowerment.
I understand what it is like to live with chronic pain. I know how frustrating, isolating and defeating it can be. In my own journey of healing from my medical trauma and chronic pain, I focused on processing my trauma, regulating my nervous system, and having an embodied presence. With this approach, I was able to reduce and eliminate my pain, release what my body was holding onto and reconnect with my internal state.

I am a therapist passionate about helping clients reduce emotional and physical suffering, with a focus on the mind-body connection to support healing from chronic pain and other mental health concerns. Having experienced chronic pain firsthand, I deeply understand how it can affect every aspect of life. Using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, I collaborate with clients to address nervous system dysregulation, pain, and symptoms holistically.
In our work together, we will explore how chronic pain affects your daily life and uncover the root causes that keep the brain and nervous system on high alert. By fostering a sense of safety in your mind, body, and environment, we will aim to reduce pain, alleviate symptoms, and enhance overall well-being. My approach is tailored to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and beliefs, ensuring that we develop personalized somatic practices and new ways of engaging with life. Together, we will move beyond the challenges that hold you back, creating space for healing, empowerment, and meaningful change.
Before my work in mental health, I spent over two decades studying and practicing contemplative traditions. I draw inspiration from Buddhist and Yoga practices, using them to tap into our innate power to heal.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that every living being has the wisdom to heal themselves, and that you can access that power. I support my clients to stabilize and regulate their emotions and nervous systems and restore a balanced relationship with their body. Together we address the unconscious dynamics that may be fueling your distress and create new pathways for understanding your experiences.
I have witnessed transformational physical healing and I know that magic happens when we can get out of the way and allow it. Working collaboratively from your unique perspective, I provide trauma focused, somatic and mindful therapy that promotes your strengths and supports your fullest potential.
I treat chronic and neuroplastic pain with Pain Reprocessing Therapy. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and specialize in treating single incident and chronic trauma, along with the symptoms that followed. Trauma occurred when you felt isolated and overwhelmed and lacked the resources to emotionally process what was happening to you. Together we can complete the process, allowing for resolution of the trauma and the symptoms. Working with somatic awareness, self-compassion, and polyvagal theory, I help clients better understand and respond to their body and their environments.
Additionally, I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health including issues around fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, complications, transitions, and loss.
I have been passionate about supporting people on a healing journey since 1998 and practiced Massage Therapy and Midwifery before becoming a Psychotherapist. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Ryerson University. My personal passions include yoga, meditation, and dance.

I provide a compassionate approach to working with individuals experiencing chronic pain. Together, we can address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to your persistent pain. Clients receive guidance in understanding the brain's processing of pain and how negative thought patterns and anxiety can intensify physical discomfort. I aim to provide clients with a warm and supportive environment where they can explore the mind-body connection and take active steps toward healing. By combining mindfulness, cognitive behavioural strategies, and somatic techniques, clients can learn to rewrite their pain story, build resilience, and experience freedom from fear and preoccupation.
With over eight years of working with individuals experiencing mental health and addiction struggles, my goal is to support clients to live a life that is authentic and fulfilling.

I believe it is a privilege to join with clients on their path of healing. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a deep respect for the inherent worth of every person. I aim to provide a compassionate and attuned space where you can explore change, healing, and growth. I firmly believe that we all have the capacity to heal in our own ways and to live lives full of meaning and purpose.
To best support you, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs. This may include mind-body practices, pain reprocessing therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more. My goal is always to identify the strategies that work best for you—helping you increase emotional regulation, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of safety within yourself.
My own journey with chronic pain began at a young age, and I understand firsthand how issues like identity, loss, grief, and trauma can profoundly impact both pain and healing. My healing process accelerated when I turned toward nervous system regulation and emotional awareness—tools that I now integrate into my practice to support others.
Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of working with interdisciplinary teams and large organizations that support individuals in pain from a variety of perspectives. This experience has given me a unique understanding of systems from both a service provider and client perspective. I have worked in both mental health and healthcare settings, helping people of all ages and backgrounds improve their well-being.
I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
